Protect grassed areas with this 100 × 150cm hexagon grass protection mat. Made from rubber, its open-cell design lets grass grow through while helping protect the ground from regular use.

Foot traffic, animals and outdoor activities can wear down grass and create muddy patches. This 22mm-thick mat helps reinforce frequently used areas while allowing rainwater to drain through the openings. Each mat covers approximately 1.5m² and can be used on its own or placed alongside other mats to cover a larger area.

Suitable for grassed outdoor areas

Open-cell design

The openings allow grass to grow through the mat. Rainwater can also pass through to the ground below. As the grass grows, it may become more visible through the cells, helping the covered area retain a natural appearance.

Installation

Clear stones and prepare the ground so it is reasonably level. Lay the mat flat and secure it with suitable ground pegs where needed. To cover a larger area, position additional mats edge to edge. You can join adjoining mats with suitable ties through the openings if required.

Check that the mat sits flat and is secure before use. The fixings required will depend on the surface and location.
